When visiting the falls, which side is the best to view the site? I haven't been there in forever and trying to determine which side provides the best view/entertainment options.

Analise Jun 1, 11, 8:55 am Canada is better but it can't be the best. ;) Spaceduck Jun 3, 11, 9:38 am The best view of the falls is on the Canadian side, as you have a good view of both American and Horseshoe Falls, while on the American side, the view of both is oblique at best. The best collection of amenities and things to do is also on the Canadian side. bkgourmet Jun 7, 11, 7:27 pm ++1^ - totally agree, canadian side is the way to go. unfortunately, (imo), the new york side can get a little seedy at night. the area called "clifton hill" on the canadian side is VERY family-oriented with lots of activities day and night. if you have older children and if you're up to it, the haunted house is great! MoreMilesPlease Jun 27, 11, 8:40 pm The state park on the US side is very nice. The best view of the Falls in definitely the Canadian side. Much more to do on the Canadian side. The American side is depressed and sleazy except for the State park. |
