Phase One is offering Capture One Pro at 30% off if you buy online by 3 June 2011.

Very nice powerful RAW converter and has local adjustments, keystone correction, tethered shooting, spot removal among others, and does a lot better on noise reduction than some OEM converters.

A nice touch, if you have a appropriate video card, is that it can use GPU processing for instant adjustments onscreen.

If you want to go crazy, they have a component camera system that can capture up to 80MP and their backs can capture 12 steps of EV range vs. 7.5 for most digital SLRs.

Just FYI, Phase One software is probably the most used software by professional photographers who work in studios.

I am not a pro. I have not come across Phase One Capture One Pro 6 until just now. Shame on me :). It would be quite an achievement if it beats Adobe Photoshop in popularity among pros.

OP, thanks for the link. At discounted price of $279, it is still pretty $$$. For those interested in this, might also check out Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 which comes with ACR (sold around $75).

Phase One is a Danish company which may be why it doesn't have the exposure in N. America. I only came across them when they packaged a limited edition of Capture One with Sandisk cards. My local pro shop certainly deals with their products (their camera system runs into the $20,000+ bracket).

I've been told by one of their reps that Microsoft made several approaches to buy them. They ended up buying Microsoft Expressions.
