GLBT Travelers - RCL Explorer of the Seas July 21, 2011

I'll be on the Explorer of the Seas 9 day cruise out of Bayone (oops, sorry, Cape Liberty) leaving July 21. I'm traveling with my brother and his family and sister and her family. Love 'em to death, but 9 days together may tax my patience a bit.

Does anyone know if there are organized gay social events? Anyone else going to be on the cruise?

Look for "Friends of Dorothy" events i daily activities list - that's what they call the GLBT events. You may also want to go over to www.cruisecritic.com and look for their GLBT forum and ask there if anyone is going on your cruise. Enjoy!!!

On RCL, passengers can put up (or request to put up) little cards to advertise social clubs with where and when to meet up. Keep you eye out for those ads. Many dont turn up in any case.

We turned up at a wine pairing meals at Chops and were seats next to another gay couple. The following night at the Mystery Dinner Theatre, they might as well have had a decidated table for the Friends of Dorothy. Set the social group for the rest of the cruise! This was just by chance I am sure.
