Hawaii - Maui butcher shop?

When we go to Maui, we almost always eat seafood, but occasionally have an urge for a steak that we grill ourselves. Would appreciate recommendations for a "good" butcher shop for meat.

If you are a Costco member, I'd recommend going to the meat counter there; I am sure they could cut you some very nice steaks.

Was thinking along the lines of an aged 12-16 oz rib-eye. In the past, we've been to Mana (Paia) & Takamiya (Wailuku); any other non-Costco & non-Safeway suggestions?

Check Costco. My local stores sell prime dry aged beef for very good prices. You might want to call the store ands see if they do was well.

Maui Prime Fine Foods at 142 Kupuohi St. #F-7, Lahaina (up in the industrial park that also contains my highly recommended Star Noodle) has or can get you Prime meat, natural grass-fed beef, or pretty much anything you want. They buy fresh fish direct from the fishermen at Lahaina harbor, get excellent scallops that they also provide to several high-end restaurants, and I have found them easy to deal with, though, of course, not cheap.

But, as usual, you get what you pay for.
