Korean Air Skypass - How Many DL Skymiles for DTW-ICN

I'm planning a trip to Korea in a year or so and I was wondering how many Delta Skymiles would be needed to book a business class award ticket on Korean Air. I am currently trying to collect as many Skymiles as possible, but would like to know how easy it will be to use them.
Thanks!

It is only 120k miles. But there are many blackout dates that make it a little difficult at times to book awards.

If you are looking to fly on the DL DTW-ICN non-stop, you will have lots of difficulty finding a reward at the low level of 120k (mostly is at the mid or high level). You'll have more luck connecting thru one of the various gateway cities KE has ( ATL, JFK, LAX, SFO, LAS, SEA, YVR, ORD, IAD, DFW, YYZ ) which if there is availability it will always be at the 120k level.
As for some advice on booking, I've noticed availability gets better the closer in you get to departure. If you are a PM/DM, this is a big advantage as you can book a flight to make sure you have something and then keep tweaking until you get the flights you want.

KL = KLM
If you are going later in the year, their A380 will be on the LAX & JFK routes. I would personally try to get on the JFK one so I can enjoy all the A380 has to offer.

Thanks for catching my error :-)
Also, I think ATL and ORD are primarily on the 747s, which have an older 'lie flat at an angle' J seat versus the true lie flat seat on the 777s. Not that the former is completely bad, but many prefer the more comfortable true lie flat seat.

The older at an angle seats, the Prestige Plus seats, aren't actually flat. They're almost flat. And you do tend to slide down a bit. The newer Prestige Sleeper seats are the full flat, 180 deg, seats.
When you are planning, go to koreanair.com>on board>flight schedule with new aircraft. type in your date and you'll see which seat you'll end up getting.
I recently did a blog post about my trip on JFK-ICN in a Prestige plus seat. HERE is the KE JFKicn trip report (http://getgowing.wordpress.com/2011/05/29/korean-air-new-york-jfk-to-seoul-incheon-icn-april-2011/).
