Singapore - Electronics store for replacement laptop power adapter?

I just arrived in SG and can't get my laptop power supply to work. (My phone charger works fine with my power adapter.)

Where is a good local electronics store I might find a replacement?

There's one other option. If you are willing to consider a generic name brand charger, Challenger may have an appropriate Targus or Kensington charger.

For clarity's sake, Challenger is the name of a medium size chain of IT/computer stores in Singapore (think the computer section of Best Buy). Sim Lim Square and Funan Shopping Centre are malls focused on computer things, with lots of small to medium size stores. Sim Lim is the glitzier of the two and a proper mall, Sim Lim a more rough and tumble experience (depending on the item you can bargain here).

Challenger has its biggest store in Funan (top floor) so the selection will be bigger. They carry Targus. Whether or not they carry the specific charger for your computer you'll have to check. The smaller shops in Sim Lim are likelier to have the specific charger. Try the fourth and fifth floors; if one shop doesn't have it, move on to the next.

That did it -- I found the Funan DigitaLife Mall (http://www.funan.com.sg/) (exit B from City hall MRT) and after a bit of asking around found someone with the right adapter.
