Los Angeles - Public transporation in Santa Ana

Is it possible to compare San Francisco's BART to something in Santa Ana?
Put in a different way, does Santa Ana have something similar to SF BART, or is all they have is regular bus?

[There is Metrolink rail service between L.A. and San Diego, making about 11 Orange County stops. It is much more limited than the BART system or the L.A. Metro light rail system in the L.A./Pasadena/Long Beach corridors. http://www.octa.net/metro-lines-and-stations.aspx ]

Pretty much just buses via OCTA (https://www.octa.net/about_octa.aspx) and commuter rail done byand Metrolink as Ocn Vw 1K mentioned (which is more comparable to Caltrain, though they only go as far as Oceanside where you have to transfer to the Coaster or go with Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner all the way to reach San Diego).
