I'm celebrating my 21st birthday and graduation from college and I am heading to Vegas. What are some things I should do in Vegas that are gay-orientated? I was thinking of doing a Celine Dion show. But what else is there?

In all honesty I think the gay life in vegas is awful.

Seeing you are only 21 you would probably like Krave though. It's on the strip at Planet Hollywood. The crowd is younger, there are dancers, but the cover is expensive and drinks are expensive and pour weak. I think the other bars are real dumps and not in great areas, hard to get to and very smoky.

I would recomend the pool party at the luxor on Sunday afternoons.

You may also like the Blue Moon on Saturdays. It's an all gay male resort, and the crowd is usually older, but I am pretty sure if you are only 21 they don't charge a day pass fee.

You may also like Frank Marinos broadway divas show at Imperial Palace. Lots of hot young dancers in the background:) And if you go to the front desk at Imperial Palace they will give you a discount voucher and I think with that tickets are only around $20.

It depends on what you are after.
There is Barry Manilow (but you might be too young)
Visit a Cirque show like Ka or O where you get to see some very muscular men in action in tights and not a lot else. Peep Show has dancers of both sexes on stage!

Personally, just go to Vegas and soak up the atmosphere. It is great. Dont make this a gay holiday. It is a fun adult holiday and they may be some things that would attract you and other less.

There are a few gay bars, clubs, sauna at the Commercial Centre at 953 E. Sahara Ave - it not glitzy Vegas but very much part of an adult holiday given that you can now drink legally.

On the Strip, there is Krave (http://www.kravelasvegas.com) at Planet Hollywood.

The Luxor (http://www.luxor.com/lgbt) had ideas for the gay visitor with a themed pool party (http://www.luxor.com/LGBT/calendar) on Sundays. Also Thunder from Down Under at the Excalibur allow male audiences in.

I have found that Vegas is probably one of the destinations where you don't have to look for something specifically "gay" to have a good time. There are some amazing shows, great restaurants and good shopping. I went to the gay bars in Vegas once and left about 45 minutes later.

Personally, I would recommend a Cirque show (my favorite has been Love at The Mirage) with a great dinner. Are you traveling with friends or by yourself? As others have said, soak up the atmosphere that is Vegas and have a good time.

You'll like Krave at Planet Hollywood, as recommended earlier. You'll also like Piranah, which is a short cab ride off the stip. On Sunday nights, Mirage has Revolution Sundays, which is quite popular, as well.

Other than that...I agree that the gay scene in LV is pretty blah.

We always go to Krave, but its sorta a dump now...AMEX won't even let you charge there and you get a bunch of fraud alert emails...

That said, its okay music, when we went it wasn't too busy (Sat night) and bottle service was not worth it for the venue...crowd was eh

I'm not sure what is up with the 24yo OP and Las Vegas. NYC, FLL, MIA, Chicago, LA, San Diego, Seattle, Dallas would all be on my list before Las Vegas unless i was really into Barry Manilow music. Take my advise OP, head somewhere warm where there are other 20 somethings with little clothing on and awaiting you on Grinder or Manhunt or the old fashion way on the beach/bars/clubs.

Any suggestions to where I should go for the 20 somethings? :)

Maybe it's all about who you know and who you're with? Some of my friends -- gay and straight -- live in Vegas and I have a lot of fun when I'm in town!

My favs include:
Cosmopolitan
Marquee (for good DJs)
Revolution at the Mirage (Sundays)
Secret (when it was still open)
Artisan (for after hours)

Other fun spots:
Sunkissed (pool party at Rumor)
Vanity (Sundays at Hard Rock)
Krave (I try not to go if DJ Morningstar is spinning)

Also, the best Thai restaurant in the US is in Vegas! Check out Lotus of Siam at 953 E. Sahara Ave.

I'm in Vegas a lot and sometimes stay until Monday. What time is the best time to go to Revolution on Sunday?

I have been to the sunkissed pool party and agree it is a lot of fun.

I don't go out until midnight or later, usually.

If you do go to Vegas, make sure you make it over to the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Damn. Very easy day trips.

Or depending on your plans you can just get a Grindr and find someone interesting.:p

Being a Vegas regular I have to agree with Foady. Krave is 18+ on Fridays, Piranha is also a place to be and Charlies is fun on Sundays. They have an underwear monday at some places that can be fun which is a nice way to get to know the locals.

I think Vegas has really came up in terms of FUN for Gays!! The pool parties are fun too.
