Hi,

I've got a general question:
China airlines, shanghai airlines and china eastern will soon join skyteam so this means that in resp September and June we can flight with those companies and accumulating points on the FB card. If I have taken my flight today with one of the mentioned companies above, can I wait until they have officially become a partner before I claim my missing miles? If I do that will I be able to claim the missing miles on my FB card?

I actually have the same question but with Garuda. I'm flying them in July. Will the honour the miles if they officialy join in the 6 months after?

I don't think they do. They are not Skyteam at your flightdate, so no right to earn miles.

But, you can always try.

I agree with Brobbel. You cannot earn miles with these airlines if they are not members of Skyteam at the point of time that your flight takes place. Crediting miles for a flight in the past is only possible if you were entitled to earn the miles at the point of time you took the flight. This is not the case here. Of course, you can ask nevertheless, but do not expect any positive outcome.

The short answer is NO.
