Any tips/tricks on booking PHX to LAS Vegas trips on US Air if you do not have 21 days advance time?
Try US Vacations - their air/hotel packages are sometimes less than last-minute airfare alone. They don't care if the hotel portion is a "throwaway" too :), though there are many hotel choices with the packages. Not sure whether there's a minimum of 2 pax for these deals ....

book (speculatively) on Southwest... no change fees there, after all... as long as you are comfortable with WN having your money knowing that you will fly them _somewhere_ at _some_point_ within a year....
