Source (not that I doubt you)? I'm not seeing it anywhere on AirTran's or GoGo's website. Also, does this apply to A+ Elite members who already get these seats complementary?

Book a reservation on the FL site. The info comes up on the
https://tickets.airtran.com/InProcessSeatMap.aspx page, where you can select your seats and complete your reservation.
It looks like there has not yet been any press release.

I'm not seeing it either. I tried changing seats for existing bookings and also tried a dummy new booking.

When you get to the "Passenger Contact Information" page, where you enter/confirm all of your personal information, click on "select seats, " which is at the bottom of the page. This will take you to the seat map page, where the promo information is noted.
Priority Seating on the seat map has a green background; Priority Seats display the message
First to board.Gogo Wi-Fi*
Below the seat map, there is a green background box that ties in to the seat map message
Priority Seating with Gogo Wi-Fi*
A footnote at the bottom of this page states
*Inclusion of Gogo Wi-Fi with Priority Seating is a limited-time offer available for purchases made by July 31, 2011, for travel through March 31, 2012.
You must click on the select seats option on the contact page, before continuing with the booking.

Weird. Still not working for me. The only green "priority" seats that I see are the exit row itself, and all it says is: "More leg room. First to board."
I'm trying my existing reservations and new reservations again but don't see the Gogo promotion. And yes, of course I did click select seats.
Maybe it's because I'm an elite and I already get free seat selection?

I do not have elite status, so I can't answer that.
Why don't you try as a guest, without your A+ number, and see if the promo is visible; if so, there's your answer. Then, you might just have to call to see if they will comp the Wi-Fi for elites.
Good luck...hope you can get it.

I tried that and right you are.
The free WiFi promotion is offered to non-Elites willing to pony up $15 Priority Seating fee.
FL comps the same seats/rows for Elites.
Encoding the WiFi promotion on the Elite seat map pages would be cost IN-effective.

AirTran's Elite line rep confirms NOBODY will get free WiFi in those seats without the $15 up-charge.

So pay up to $600 for a Business Class seat and get no free wi-fi, but pay $12-$15 for certain coach seats and you do get it?:td:
A silly promo. Free WiFi should be offered to all BC passengers.

WN wouldn't agree.
They're in daily meetings to market to AirTran Elites the advantages of one-cabin flying.

FL definately proved offering BC fares and even monetizing unsold BC seats works, it attracts flyers who normally wouldn't fly a LCC and they tend to repeat. Either with them booking BC or Coach and gambling on UG's at T-24. Either way they sold a fare.
That has to be hard to ignore despite WN's success at one cabin. BC fares are normally higher than BS on WN. Offering Elite and Corporate bookings at full Coach an auto upgrade to BC wasn't a bad deal either.
That said... with the organized attempt at saving BC did anyone ever suggest FL might have had a better product than WN for ALL customers and could create more revenue?
WN wouldn't agree.

I don't think their marketing is going to work(whatever that marketing will end up being).

It's too late. They already lost me and in chatting with other Elites, and non-Elites on the plane, I'm not alone. WN should have had a plan before announcing the BC seats were DOA. They scared off a lot of potential customers. WN's problem is they are a tourist airline and have no experience w/ the needs of road warriors or even less traveled biz customers.
I'm using up the last of my A+ points and then working on Delta for 2013 -- I've already been comped for the remainder of this year and 2012. I take no pleasure in going back to Delta but WN gave me no other option.
