Would you ever travel to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea? If so, why? If not, why not?

The rules were VERY interesting: http://www.koryogroup.com/travel_travelAdvice_rules.php

If you search on this thread, there is an extensive discussion on this topic.

No. I'm not really sure an explanation is needed. If you want to see Korea go to South Korea.

Been there, done that, got the Kimjongilia in 2007.

Ranks as one of the most fascinating trips I've ever taken. Change will only happen with understanding. I highly recommend to everyone I know.

As stated by skchin, there are a few threads about North Korea.

Why going there ? my answer would be: why not ?
This is the same answer i gave to people (including locals) when Mrs Mud and i went to Iran.

Yes i would love to go to North Korea

Definitely would want to go. But the prices are quite prohibitive for these tours.

I'm sure it would be an absolutely amazing experience. Wouldn't feel so good about the money going to the government though.

Don't know if I'd actually go, mostly because of the cost.
