Hello -

Thinking of staying for a week or so in Stockholm visiting some friends. Given that I'm traveling with the family, I'm thinking an apartment would be a better option than a hotel. Unfortunately, VRBO / Homestays have a very limited selection... any ideas where I can find more options?

Thanks

Some hostels in Stockholm and elsewhere in Sweden have family room suites with their own kitchen or a shared kitchen.

As a lot of people leave Stockholm in the summer time -- if that is when you are going -- and so a variety of apartments end up being put up for informal short-term rental. Student apartments are one such type of accommodation.

Blocket.se seems to be amongst the most popular places online in Sweden to try to acquire/dump anything and everything. [It's in Swedish, however.]

A one-week rental may actually be harder to find than a one month rental for probably close to the same price.

Hiya. We've been going to Stockholm for 4-8 day trips for a few years. I can recommend:
www.cocoonstockholm.com
and
www.vianicoline.com
Both are friendly and helpful. Nicoline is a pleasure to do business with, and knows her properties well. Cocoon is probably a little cheaper, with less personal apartments.

Airbnb.com has some really nice apartments in Stockholm. I was just browsing through them for an imaginary trip I'm taking next month, hehehe...
