Has anyone stayed at the Rickety Bridge Manor lodge in Franschhoek? Spending 2 days in June as part of 3 week trip to SA and Botswana and trying
to finalize the last details on accomodation. Don't want to spend more than $175/night or thereabouts. Have checked the greenwood guide recommended in another thread. Klein Oliphants was my choice but it is apparently closed in June. Any other recommendations. Also have decided on Walden house and
Grand daddy airstream trailer park hotel (former metropole) in Cape town. Trip advisor recs. seem ok. Anyhere had personal experience with them?

Actually did not stay at the Rickety Bridge. We ended up staying at the Val D'Or guest house. It was a wonderful choice. Reasonably priced and a lovely place. We had the 2 rooms in the main building on the second floor which had a lovely large terrace. It is about five minute drive to the main part of town which is about the same distance as Rickety Bridge. They served a good breakfast as well.
