SkyTeam - Any cheaper way to get around Africa?

Hi folks,
I'm trying to piece together an itinerary that includes a few flights to some places in East Africa. Most of these have flights with Kenya airways. When I price the flight combinations, it quickly gets ridiculous. Does anyone know of some kind of africa pass, or would a RTW ticket be the best option and just use the maximum legs in Africa?

What kind of routing are you looking at, and have you priced it both as one big itinerary and as several smaller ones?

Two thoughts. There are LCC's in east Africa. But if you want to fly with KQ, why not just give them a call and tell them what you want? Their reservation staff in Nairobi are very helpful.

Do you mean that SomeCity-Africancity1-AfricanCity2 is more expensive than SomeCity-Africancity1 + AfricanCity1-AfricanCity2. I have seen that happen too when the DCA-DTW-NRT-BKK + BKK-DEL was more expensive than DCA-DTW-NRT-BKK-DEL than as much as $1000.

Look at FLY540 - not KQ but offer some good fares around East Africa
