Anyone have any god/bad experiences with limo airport service? I don't want to wait in cab line and I'm having a few drinks on the plane so I don't want a rental. Any thoughts?

I always just grab a town car from over the limo pickup side if there is a line for cabs. it's around $45 to encore if i recall correctly.

You can also go down to level ZERO, and take a CAT 109 bus to the SSTT (southbound) and transfer to the SDX (strip express bus) which stops at WYNN.:D:D:D
A far cry from a limousine but it is efficient and they run regularly.
Shuttles seem like a good deal, but aren't: (1) you wait "forever" for them to fill up, (2) you may be the last of 15 stops.:td:
:p

In most cases, you can request from casino VIP. Even if they won't comp for you, it can be added to your room folio. This is very easy to do for all levels of players at CET. Amount is in the low $50's if they charge for it.

Only advantage, is they will be waiting for you when you arrive; making things relatively seamless.

Also, remember, you probably should be tipping the limo driver. So, if it's not comp'ed; it's considerably more expensive than a taxi. You can always use a luggage porter at LAS to avoid the taxi-line. ;);)

Edit to add : Just noticed you said Wynncore; they will probably be a 'bit' more than CET with regard to (paid) Limo-VIP service. I'll leave the above post anyway, as general information.

I am staying in Encore in a few weeks and seem to think that the cab fare is about $20-$25 each way. I have heard of some getting done by using the tunnel. I have never gone this way in fact dont even know where the tunnel is!!

$45 for a Town car is not bad never really noticed them before. Are they available to hail from the street ie. arrivals or are they pre-booked

Thanks

O.K. Gurus. We are going to Vegas in June. We arrive Sunday at 11:00 in the morning, and we are staying at the Monte Carlo. I just assumed the easiest thing to do was jump in a cab. Is this going to be a time consuming process? Is there a better way of getting there? Thanks in advance.

You should be fine.

Seriously, Vegas is the EASIEST city in the world to get from airport to the main 'business' area (strip). I often wonder, why there are fewer threads about getting from, say, JFK to Manhattan than from LAS to the strip.

Why is it that, for some reason, people are more worried about arriving in LAS than anywhere else in the world... LOL Damn, you could walk from LAS to Monte Carlo (if you really wanted, and had to!)

Well, the reason I was wondering is the cab line. It can be huge at LAS. And there are so many alternatives there with the limos, shuttles, town cars, etc. We just like to fine tune the trip.

You're thinking it's still 2004.... It's 2011; it's only potential for a crazy line is a few times a year during a big convention. Even then, not as big of a deal.... (as it was in the past) And, you can always bypass the line by using a luggage porter and tipping. BTW, even a BIG line MOVES FAST!!! LAS probably has more taxis and a more organized fast-moving line THAN ANY OTHER CITY IN THE WORLD!

Please, DON'T STRESS! :D:D:cool::cool:

That is what I was thinking. I've never stood in line for more than a couple minutes. It would be longer to walk the extra few yards to where the Limos are. Plus the ride to Wynn is < $20.

If someone wants the limo experience that is cool, but a 10 minute limo ride does not seem like much a bargain.

Not meaning to disrespect anyone of FT; but this has been a huge pet-peeve on mine on FlyerTalk..... all of this constant LAS to strip talk. Damn, a long haul is like +$10.... and it's f'in Vegas!!!!!

You have more of a chance of a 'serious' long haul in almost any other city in the country. Why people worry so much about this, I will NEVER UNDERSTAND.

And, I agree, 10 minutes in a limo is rather BLAH!

What I do for newbie Vegas peeps, is a limo crawl at night; approximately 2-5 hours; hopping around the city (and downtown) in a nice stretch.... with LOTS of Champagne, of course! Now, that's the way to get introduced to Vegas... ;);)

Thatīs what I thought b_k. Thanks for the confirmation. I havenīt stopped in Vegas for a few years, but I fly CLT-LAS-PHX when I canīt get F on a direct CLT-PHX. ^
