Now only 2500 choice points are needed to get 1000 UA miles.
Amazingly this is buried and appears nowhere on the site.
The click though link says 5:1.
It's only when you actually click through that you see the point "sale" of a half price ratio of 2.5 to 1.
This is of no interest to me as I don't collect Mileage Plus miles, but I did want to share it with the board.

It's not a use I would choose. But for those who have more hotel points than airline miles when the airline miles are needed in short order for award tickets, it may be reasonable enough value.
Anyone aware of how long it takes the transfer from CP to UA to clear? Given upcoming changes, timing may matter.

With the bonus it should come down to half of that @ .94 cpm! Of course if you just want *A miles for partner redemption a transfer to US could yield even lower cpm if you are elite and you have the airline's credit card.

I value one CP points = 0.9 to 1 Cents and 1 UA Miles = 2.5 cents
Having said that I can make use of 1 CP points upto 1.25 cents if used properly where as 1 UA miles can go upto 5 cents. Also most of my stays are not at Choice hotels, unless there is no SPG, IHG, Hyatt, Marriott or Hilton near by
IMHO, I value united points much more than 2.5x CP points.

And US Air does not block star alliance awards, whereas United does.
After AA, US Air is my second choice program.
I never fly US , but have transferred in over 400K , largely during a starwood bonus.

US may still have an advantage re routing rules though.

US air blocked VCE_ZRH whereas bmi ticketed the flights ok
so yes there is still starnet blocking with USAIR

Hmmmm, So choice to Amtrak , via Choice to UA , then to CO, then to Amtrak.
I did not know UA was combinable with CO,
So 25,000 Choice points equal 10,000 Amtrak points.
I value Amtrak higher than both UA mileage less and CO none pass.
But still I won't do this as I have ample AGR for now.

Thanks OP, wouldn't have a clue about it without reading it. Choice doesn't actively inform the members of such promos right?
Carried out transfer on the 10th and am still waiting...

Requested the transfer on May 24th, came through on the 30th. 100K choice to 40K UA.

That was fast. I transfered on May 10th and am still waiting for nearly a month now!
Did a test transfer on May 30th and the miles appeared today. Guess the May 10th transfer got lost in translation. Going to call up Choice now.
Update.
Choice said it will take up to 12 weeks for the miles to post. Was rather upset over this.
But hey, I checked my account today. Voila! The May 10 transfer finally appeared in my Mileage Plus account.
Not sure if my earlier contact with Choice expedited the process.

Is this promo still current. I click thru to the final point where I have to input my mileage plus number and there was no mention of 2500 points to 1000 miles

Thanks, I missed it. I wonder why I did not find it earlier. I might use my points for free nights. I have some miles that will expire in December.
