We are taking our granddaughter on a driving trip through Montana. We fly into Jackson Hole and then we will drive through the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Helena, Bozeman and Choteau. We would appreciate some recommendations for restaurants that are local rather than chains. This will be a "blue jeans" type trip as opposed to "dress up".

When we visit MT, we enjoy Mackenzie River for their pizza and their house salad. The location in Great Falls has a lovely river location for outdoor dining.

I also find yelp.com helpful for dining while traveling.

If any of you are serious beef-eaters, then the Land of Magic in Logan MT, around a half-hour from Bozeman, is your place. Commemorated in a trip report I did a couple of years ago... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trip-reports/685006-sea-ewr-f-then-back-ford.html

Thank you. Is it open for lunch or only dinner?
