I just returned from Stockholm and was surprised by all the cherry blossoms I saw there.
Anyone know if the Japanese donated these to Stockholm like they did for Washington ???

You know, I thought I read somewhere the Japanese did, but the Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kungstr%C3%A4dg%C3%A5rden#Fountain_of_Wolodarski) page says nothing about it--so probably not.

An old Swedish woman told me that Japan was involved, and she's one who is usually says she doesn't know the answer unless she is certain. If this were to be an exception, it would be a surprise. [Nothing was said about it being a donation however, so perhaps it was a reference to botanical type.]
