Virgin Atlantic Flying Club - How is award availabilty in Virgins Program?????

Would love to know if others are satisfied with Upper Class Award Availability on Virgin
I do know their partnership with Continental was unaceptable regarding award availabilty.Have been able to use British Airways with a fair amount of satisfaction to claim business and first.First has become somewhat more difficult.Thanx for the info!

I am a LH Senator, yet have been unable to secure award travel in any class to Capetown over Easter with LH.

However, I have just transferred miles from my Amex account to Virgin (I have never flown with them) and have got Premium Economy to Capetown and Upper Class on return(I did not have enough miles for 2 x Upper Class). What is more my mileage requirement is less than the LH for the same classes.
