Las Vegas - Vegas Trip Questions (Wed Night club, Mac King, Wynn Buffet)

Hi all,

I would be in Vegas for 2 days (May 11 and 12) and have a few questions -

1. I see that a lot of clubs (Tao, Jet, Tryst etc...) are closed on Wednesdays.

Would you recommend any night club / bar that's on the strip? I would be with my friend and we are in the 23 - 25 age range. So we would prefer a "happening" place :)

We would be staying at the Trump tower. So any place close by would be great.

2. We are also planning to catch Mac King the next afternoon. I was unable to find any discount codes online. I see that it is possible to get 2-for-1 passes outside Harrah's. Would you suggest buying tickets in advance? Or going to Harrah's and giving it a try?

3. Also, I haven't tried the buffet at the Wynn and would like to try it this time. Since we would be going there on a Thursday morning, would it be very crowded? Any experiences about wait times on a Thursday?

I'd appreciate any information or tips.

Thanks in advance!!

I believe Surrender at Encore is open on Wed, so that may be an option. It is within (long) walking distance of Trump. As for the buffet, I doubt you will have too much problem getting in.

Keep in mind that the distance you'll be able to walk BEFORE hitting the club will likely be further than the distance you'll be able to walk after ;)

Thanks a lot for the replies!

Surrender looks really good. Maybe we'll give it a try. If there are any other good places, don't mind trying them too.

I guess we might walk / take public transport to the club. While returning, knowing that both of us get buzzed pretty easily :p, I guess we'll mostly take a cab back.

Any info about Mac King would be great :)

Thanks!!

I wouldn't buy Mac King tickets in advance. Unlikely he will sell out a Thursday afternoon show in advance, so you would have a chance to get 2 for 1 tickets outside the show or at one of the 2 for 1 booths (there's one at Bill's Gambling Hall). Also, after a long night at the clubs, you might not be ready for a show the next afternoon :D. You'd hate to commit money to something you might sleep through or be too hungover to enjoy!

Try the M Resort buffet instead.

Thanks for that! You are right. We have 2 elders in our group, who don't party. So I thought if it was necessary to purchase tickets in advance. As you said, I guess we'll go there and get tickets with the discount. Thanks for the info about getting them at Bill's!

Ya. Saw your previous post that the quality at the Wynn has decreased. Hows the one at the Bellagio?

Haven't tried Bellagio in a long while. Haven't heard that it's gotten better so don't think it will be significantly better than Wynn. M Resort is the best right now. Be prepared to wait in line though.
