Just found out that I am on reconfigured 757 (reduced First Class from 24 to 8) to las Vegas on Wednesday and they over booked First Class.I have a paid First Class ticket .Does anyone know what happens if I get booted from First Class. What compensation if any?? Recourses??

Since you're on a paid first class ticket, US Airways would have to refund the fare difference between your ticket and a coach ticket bought at the time you bought your ticket. I can't imagine that US Airways would want to have to cough up the money, so if you call them, perhaps they'd boot an upgraded person back to coach and give you your first-class seat.

Call now and confirm your seat assingment in row 1 or 2. Check in online as soon as you are able - up to 24 hours ahead of time if I'm not mistaken. I'd also get to the airport a little early on Wednesday. BP in hand you know...

They will probably put you on another carrier.

I had First Class reward tickets reserved for my mom and companion to Aruba on a 757 that was reconfigured. They called a month ahead of time and offered 30,000 miles each back on the ticket and a roundtrip voucher for each ticket. They were still able to keep their First Class seats from MHT to Charlotte and back again. They were very appreciative to the idea of having them move to to the back.

Thanks for the suggestions. Had a seat assignment before of 3C but now no one at US Air can see the seat assignments now until the day of departure. They tell me to get there early too..unfortunately leaving from work and wont be able too..Reimbursement of cost is really not what I want. Guess I will have to wait until day of departure to see what the sorry is.

I'll reiterate my suggestion to check-in online as soon as you can - before heading to the airport.

The difference between FC and full coach, or the cheapest fare which could have been purchased that day? Probably the former I'd bet.

Delta: The Airline of Choice for the UNwise consumer. Hey, they have to get the money for their pilots' world class salaries somewhere, and your pocket is as good a place as any!

It wouldn't surprise me if US made YOU pony up more $$ for the difference between what you paid for an F "sale" ticket & what full Y cost!
