Hi. Does anyone knows if after the merger booking reward travel online will be utilizing CO current back end or it will be UA back end?
The reason I ask is that it took me 10 min to book reward travel online with CO without calling anywhere or speaking with any reps and so far it is taking me about a day to do the same with UA.

Welcome to FlyerTalk!
The current expectation (I'm pretty sure it has been announced by the company) is that they will keep the CO reservations system. Based on that it seems likely that the CO website will also survive as it has all the hooks built already but no guarantees, I suppose. Neither of the sites is perfect; they both have advantages and limitations.

I dont consider myself an ace but if I enter flight info for reward travel into CO website i get a clear choice of 50 flights with exact amount of miles and in 2 clicks it tells me that the ticket is going to be 55K miles plus $136 and I am done.
I tried to do the same with UA website for the same dates and all I get is "...we can not find any availability on any of our alliance partner flights...." etc...I tried it for any other dates in the whole year and same answer no flights.
Glad to hear that there is a chance CO back end will survive. Thanks for the info.

That would nice since the UA website is horrible (as well documented here)
