Happy New Year everyone --
Quick question. I just booked two premium award tix on the chance (please please please) the Eagles get to play in the Super Bowl. I know that the miles can be redeposited should I cancel the trip, but I wonder about the $15 in fees I paid. Are those refundable as well?
I know this should be an easy answer to get, but for the life of me I can't seem to find the info.

Last I heard, you can redeposit without charge if you are preferred. If you are not, there is a redeposit fee. It was $75.00, but not sure what it is today.

I'm CP, and was specifically asking about the fees that go along with the award tix booking -- currently, they're $7.50 per ticket. Are those refundable should I cancel the trip?
Thanks again!

Come on now, Brett!
Even if you CAN'T get it back, are you gonna cancel the tickets?
Considering how much you are going to pay for Superbowl tickets, $7.50 shouldn't be too much of a worry for ya.
A REAL Eagles fan wouldn't care! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

To answer your question, if you are CP, yes, the $7.50 will be refunded to your credit card when you cancel.

My experience as a Preferred member was: if the re-deposit fee was more than the taxes you paid, they charged you the difference at redeposit; if the taxes were more than the re-deposit fee, then you get a credit of the net. The redeposit fee is $35 per ticket

So is there a redeposit fee for Preferred? Might have to cancel 2 tickets for May, but preferred runs out in Feburary..
Thanks

FYI...
The redeposit rates have gone up to $50 per ticket for preferred, and $100 per ticket for nonpreferred..

Ouch. Can anyone say nickel-and-diming to death? But US fees were lower than many others.
Separate question: If you switch from a connecting award flight to a direct flight, don't your award fees change from $10 to $5? Do you get a refund of the $5?
