I am planning a trip to Italy, mostly to Rome, for the 1st or 2nd week of December.

What is the weather like around that time frame? Would it be too cold to make walking around not fun?

Also, how far is Rome to Tuscany wine countries?

if you'r e from miami, it can be chilli. if you'r really from tornoto, just bring swim trunks. snows once every 5-10 years. freezes once every 5 10 years.

tuscany is about 250-300km from rome. problem is, in dec, it is pretty much closed. go to montalcino. the bars(places to taste wines) are open.

I was there the last week of November last year. Got a couple of cool, sunny days, not that cold even for this Northern Californian. It rained pretty heavily one evening, too. We walked everywhere, though, and enjoyed it.
