To clarify, this is spend $25 to buy the card & get a card valued at $50 which can be used towards any hotel or anything on Expedia? Thx!

Can only be used on thehotelcard.com, an Expedia site. Note that hotels under 75.00 are not listed.
I snagged some snuggies this morning, it says I will get the vouchers/codes when the deal is over. You book it on thehotelcard.com, not EXP, put in the codes, get the 25 off.

But, as in previous posts, the prices are comparable to regular EXP and other sites, so if you book 75 and up, a good deal.

Sorry for my ignorance on this issue but is it possible to buy 3 cards and use them on a hotel stay booking 3 consecutive nights separately?
Ex
may 16th (one card)
may 17th (one card)
may 18th (one card)

Search is awful - no sorting of any kind. Does it get better when you redeem your code?

NO IT DOESN"T

You can do the normal search on expedia/hotels.com and just enter the name of the hotel you actually like on THC.com
BTW, anybody aware of any cashback for this site? Otherwise regular 10% off hotels.com+ 10%cashback are quite close in terms of savings and no pre-payment is needed.

What site gives 10% cashback on hotels.com?

True, but what a pain to compare rates on multiple properties at the same destination!

Are you in the EU? Is there a cashback site that gives 10%?

Is there a cashback site that gives 10%?
bethrifty.ie - 10
quidco and de.igraal.com (free) - 9, 8 - many more
If you already have your prеferred proprerty based on expedia/hotels.com search you do not need to compare anything - just put the name of your hotel in the box for the name of the hotel on thehotelcard.com

then essentially this is a $25 off $75 deal, because when you redeem the voucher, the minimum practical spending shall be $75 instead of $50.

It's from a Canadian site. Can I use the hotelcard on expedia.com, and is the $50 stored on the card Canadian dollars?

Edit: Never mind. I reread OP that it can only be used on thehotelcard.com, so it's probably whatever currency they use, which is US dollars.

Thanks OP! Strangely they have to email you the voucher number. Got them all yesterday, save some $ on my summer Vegas trip.!

Did anyone get these to work? I tried to make a reservation and it allowed the code, but then said credit card declined error even though no charge was made to the card, or even attempted (according to the credit card company).

Then when I try to use again, it says code was already redeemed. I emailed their support line, and tried to call by phone, but it doesn't seem like they have anyone live I can talk to. It's all just voicemail that's too short to leave a message.

This issue has been resolved. The code was reset.

I bought 10 of these for $250 and can't get any to work and after numerous emails and calls no legit responses. Opened dispute with cc company.

Thehotelcard seems to always be on icoupon and the $25 discount seems less than normal discounts.

Sorry to hear about that. I got two, as my previous post said, and although they finally responded and opened up the blocked code to resolve my issue, it did take quite a few calls and emails. They are not very responsive. It sounds like an amateur operation with a few people running the thing. The email I received even had spelling errors. It's definitely not a very professional operation.

I have very good experience with TheHotelCard.

I bought two (50$ for 12$ each) from Saveology. Used them without any problem. Booked Doubletree hotel for same price as Expedia, Orbitz, Hilton....

So 38$ save on each stay...

Ya. Seems worth it if you can get the card for $12 and a bit of a waste at $25.

I got 4 when it was $25 for $50, because it sounded like a good deal. I regret it somewhat now, because....

1) their website is difficult to use (no sorting and have to book each night separately, entering all your info every time...seems not to remember)
2) They don't take Discover card
3) even when the room rate includes breakfast on hotels.com or expedia.com, there's often no mention of breakfast on this website
4) some hotels are omitted from the website (anything below $75, as well as a few others at random...I haven't figured out the pattern yet).
5) You can cancel if the hotel allows, BUT you lose your $50 card

In my opinion, it's just not really worth the trouble, unless you happen to need a $75 hotel for one night and can get in on the $12 for $50 deal. As someone else said, you can usually get a 15+% discount on expedia.com or hotels.com sites by using a 10% off coupon code (or better, sometimes) plus a 5+% bonus by linking from some other site (such as shopdiscover) or bigcrumbs.
