Travel Health and Fitness - teeth cleaning ?

just received reminder of time to come in for teeth cleaning & checkup

I used to LOVE having my teeth scraped using the widest edge / a veritable brain massage

now they've "progressed" to a sonic water jet type thing - have taken away all the luster

anybody have knowledge of efficacy of new treatment - should I call and ask for olde treatment if I can find somebody that even offers it?
