Choice Privileges - new (oval) bath soap at Comfort

This week, at a Comfort Inn in SoCal which I frequent, there's been a new type of bath soap. (I was at the same Comfort Inn last week and it definitely only appeared this week.) It's an oval disc, housed in a clear plastic minibag. It's a much nicer shape than the horrid predecessor which had ridges on all sides (to reduce volume, I suspect). This design reduces volume even more while making it much nicer.
At least this week, at least at this hotel, the "face" soap is not changed (yet?).
I presume it'll be going chainwide, but might take a while based on inventory that needs to be used up of the old-style bath soap.

Had the same at a Comfort Suites in North Jersey a couple of weeks ago. Definitely the same soap, but the shape is nicer and as long as they replenish it when it's low, it doesn't matter to me that the bar is smaller.

Since the percentage must be high of these soaps are used only once then the hskeeping takes for personal use , I'd agree that it's smart to reduce and make it look nicer.

I like them better.
Sam them at Quality Inn too.

+1 and ^.
And yes, sd, the Wall Street Journal has replaced the USA Today at mine. But my Quality Inns and Rodeways still offer the USA Today.
BTW, I don't see a big difference in quality among Quality Inns, EconoLodges and Rodeways, but it's a very nice step up to the Comfort Inn, in my opinion. Sounds ironic, at least to me, to say that they compare favorably to recently renovated Hampton Inns. I mean the high and high quality beds, the modern bathrooms (counters, fixtures and water pressure), the lap desk and the hot breakfast items. I know, this is the way it's supposed to be, but it actually is..... :)
