Hi All,
I've consulted the *A lounge guide & also searched a bit to try and determine what lounge options are available at LHR for a no status F passenger travelling LHR - BKK.
The *A website suggests all of the following options:
SAS/AC London Lounge
Star Alliance Lounge
SQ F Lounge
bmi Great British Lounge
I've been in the SQ F lounge before and found it pretty underwhelming.
Just wondered about the last one as it looks nice, but there is a very long thread going back some time about issues accessing this lounge. Is it really an option for my scenario, especially given that it's in T1?
Or is my choice really between SQ & the London Lounge?
Thanks!

As TG dep from T3 @ LHR your only realistic options are SAS/London Lounge & the SQ F lounge. Both fine, if underwhelming. SAS for space/people watching/papers/mags & SQ for food & beverage. Enjoy.

Thanks for that.
I'm on the lunchtime departure so will probably wait to eat onboard. Will have a look in both but will probably spend more time in the London Lounge. Views from the SQ F lounge weren't great from what I remember...any better from the LL?

The view from SKL F used to be great, until they built the A380 gates nearby wiping most of it out. The view from the SKL J lounge upstairs is better than the F bit downstairs.

Can anyone answer this question in reverse, i.e. What lounge(s) available for TG F passengers ARRIVING at LHR?
Last year I arrived on TGF, was ongoing to Manchester with BD, but was refused access to the BD lounge because no business class from LHR to MAN.!

A nice chicken satay & a glass of chilled Moet always satisfy my appetite for a pre-departure snack - courtesy of the SQ F lounge ^

If you are flying on Flexible Economy fare on BD, then you should be able to use the BD lounge. I always go to Star Alliance Gold lounge, however, because they are better in terms of food and drink selection.
If are not flying on flexible economy or do not have a Star Gold status, but if you have an Amex Platinum card, then you can also use the BD lounge as far as I know.
