I just flew into Franfurt this morning from PHL. I haven't seen this mentioned before, so I thought I'd post a mini-review. We had a great A330 flight, upgraded to row 1! It did take about 2 hours into the flight and two reboots to get the IFE working, but I didn't care. We took the arrivals lounge cards "just in case." We were planning a longish drive to BRU, so decided to check it out. We'd read here that the LH arrivals lounges were so-so, so we trudged down to the Sheraton.

The bad news is that the Sheraton doesn't have a lounge any more. The good news is that they provide a room for as long as you reasonably want (we said we needed 2 hours and they said to take longer if we liked, no hurry) and a voucher for breakfast in the restaurant. Not only that my shiny new *wood gold got us a suite for the 2 hours.

It was a fantastic alternative to the traditional arrivals lounge. I'd have to say it was our best such experience, even better than the otherwise excellent facilities in London. I'd encourage anyone flying Envoy to FRA to consider it.

US now uses the UA RCC, the LH Senator Lounge or the Sheraton as Arrivals facilities in FRA.

I used to like the Cathay Lounge (w/showers) US used to use in FRA but these seem to be good new options.

Anyway, note that the RCC does not have showers while the LH lounge and the Sheraton do.

I've used the Cathay lounge a couple of times in FRA, and I found that the water pressure was too low. The best airport showers I have used are the BA LHR T4 travel spah. When you arrive in FRA on US, can you pick which of those three arrival facilities you want to use?

The card was good for entrance to any of the facilities you choose. The Sheraton is the only one on the other side of customs. The other two lounges are on the air side.
