My partner and I are all booked for Atlantis' only 2011 Mediterranean cruise which starts/end in Rome. We would love to hear from other FT'ers that will be on the cruise.
Any thoughts on whether our Tunisia port of call will happen? (Celebrity has yet to officially that destination as have other cruise lines.)
Post any entertainment facts/rumors/wishes here too.

Think what you may, but for 95% of guys who take Atlantis cruises, meth has NOTHING to do with their cruise experience. If you don't want to take one, fine.... but please don't slander those of us who enjoy a vacation in the company of a fantastic group of men.

I was totally joking (poking fun of another cruise thread). I agree with you 100% ^

I did the Med Cruise a couple years ago. Overall it was pretty good, but some things annoyed the hell out of me. It seemed that Atlantis was constantly trying to nickle and dime you for everything. The most egregious is when the cruise was over...they kept trying to force you into buying a transfer from the Ship Yard to Central Rome for some obscene amount (I think it was close to $100 pp). They kept telling the passengers that there was no other way to get to Rome, that once you got off the boat there was no other transportation, you could not walk through the shipyard and the train station was far away and would likely be closed.
We didn't take the bait and decided to take our chances. Getting off the boat, there were free shuttles/coaches waiting to take you to the shipyard's entrance. From there, it was less than a half-mile walk to the train station. It was easy to purchase tickets at the self-serve kiosks and trains to the city came frequently. All for the fraction of the price (I think it was $9 or maybe 9 euro) than Atlantis.
What really bothered me was that Atlantis outright LIED trying to use scare tactics to make more money. Kinda soured me a bit.
As for the actual cruise...it was packed with guys and pretty damn fun. Lotta sex (if that's your thing), good choice of food, mostly good entertainment. I wish they had some overnight port stops though so you can sample the local nightlife.

One other tip...Drinks are Expensive (as they are on most cruises). Definitely a good idea to sneak some of your own on the ship to save alot of money.

I'm going to be there! I was just about to start a thread, and found this one. Very excited that Pam Ann is coming back - if you haven't seen her, it's perhaps one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. Particularly appropriate for the folks on here. Maybe we can do a mini-DO on the ship - say cocktails in the afternoon on the sea day? PM or send a message on this thread and I'll see about setting something up.
