Anyway, seeing as there are bound to be lots of Eagles and Panthers fans here, I was wondering if any Eagles fans would like to lose a bet with me?

According to Danny Sheridan, the Eagles are giving 4 points and the over/under is 36.5 (see USA Today (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/gaming/sheridan.htm), simple registration is required). Of course, the Panthers don't need any stinking points ... I'm taking the Panthers straight-up.

I am not proposing the wagering of money ... just of travel related goods. For the purposes of this bet I am offering an Alaska Airlines Board Room pass and will accept the first reasonable counter bet from someone taking the Eagles. Not that I need it, but it's basically free money as far as I'm concerned ...

Of course, since you're from DC originally I don't understand how on earth you could be an Eagles fan ... they should be one of your most hated rivals, up there with the Giants and Cowboys ...

Nothing would please this Cowboys fan more than to see the Eagles lose this weekend or any weekend, for that matter.

Being from Tampa Bay, I really can't imagine two WORSE teams playing in this game this weekend. However, that said, I will be pulling for the Eagles, as I think I hate the Panthers just a little bit more. Plus, if they are ever going to earn my respect, they have to get to the Super Bowl the same way we did... through Philly.

As a Redskins fan, I do hate the Eagles with every fiber of my being as much as I do Dallas and (to a lesser degree) the Giants. Good old NFC East rivalries do run deep. Besides, I'd rather see the Eagles get blown away and humiliated in the Super Bowl instead of the NFC Championship game.

You're just pissed the Panthers blocked three kicks in one game against the Bucs, which was pretty much the start of the end for them this year.

Only because John Kasay was going through the worst slump of his career at the time (that lasted a couple more games after that).

Delhomme (who I have actually bashed all season) admittedly is playing much better now than he did during the regular season too ...

Obviously the odds-makers think the teams match up pretty well, because the home field edge is typically 3.5 points, which is basically the whole 4 point spread on the game.

We will be having an Eagle Roast Party in Greensboro Sunday night!

Well it's 1 AM here in Colorado so its 3 PM back on the East coast...about 16 1/2 hours til kickoff and I am so energized for this it's ridiculous...I don't think my sleep will be very good tonight out of sheer excitedness...best of luck to both teams, but of course this team will win:

The Eagles will have a tough go with the Panthers but win in the end.
