US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - LGW-PHL Upgrade clearing

I'm returning on flight 99 on a Sunday and am currently in the upgrade queue. Any Golds with experience on chances of getting into Envoy on this flight on this day?

By the way, when I checked virtuallythere for something else, I noticed that US had moved me forward, closer to the Envoy cabin, retaining my aisle preference, without my having to do anything. The person who did this represents the reason why I hope this airline survives!

I flew this route often last year as a Gold and always got the upgrade. Usually it's at the counter, but a few times they did it at the gate. They don't confirm many of these in advance (unless you are CP or use miles) but you should have good luck at this time of year, especially if you are flying mid-week.

I cleared in advance for this flight on Jan. 1st. That's an odd travel day but from the looks of things, lots of upgrades cleared at the last minute. Only about 12 people boarded with the initial call for Envoy. A second wave came in much later and Envoy went out full or close to it. As a Gold, I bet you clear at the gate (followed by some Silvers). Your chances are very good IMO.
