South - ATL Elite security lanes are a JOKE!

CO flyer who recently flew thru ATL.

When I went to go to the Elite Access lines for faster security screening, it was confusing to say the least.

It seems they funnel EVERYONE with "special" access, which includes small kids, elderly, handicapped, flight crews, etc. into the same general area.

Then once you get into the area, there are signs directly those with "Elite Access" to go to the left, and "Kids, etc." to the right.

However, no one is enforcing that at all - so in essence all the lines are meshed together.

On top of that, once past the first TSA agent, they closed one of the lines to get into the large screening area. A young man took it upon himself to enter that line anyways, bypassing many of us who had been waiting for about 20 minutes.

One TSA female started to tell the guy he couldnt do that, that she had closed the lane, then another TSA guy in the screening area, said "its ok" and motioned for him to come on thru (along with a smile and a wink).

What a mess and an embarassment for ATL TSA. Other airports I have traveled to seem much more organized and professional...
