US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - 767 to LAX

From looking at the US schedule it seems that there is one 767 flight into and out of LAX each day. A 6:10PM departure from CLT, and then that plane turns around and leaves for PIT the next morning at 7:50AM.
I've only been on a US 767 transatlantic. Is the transcon 767 seating and service the same or similar to the transatlantic envoy?
If I had a choice of jet to and from LAX should I seek out getting on the 767, or would I be just as happy on the 321 or 757?
Were there other 767's into and out of LAX that I'm just not seeing on the schedule, or were those flights it.
Thanks!

US 192 leaves LAX at 7:00AM and arrives CLT at about 2:20PM, before continuing onto FRA. The aircraft and seating are the same as used on international routes.

Interesting, then. I didn't specify my travel dates and it looks as though the schedule is changing from what it is now, with the RT CLT-LAX, to what it will be when I travel May 14-16, when the outbound is CLT-LAX and the return is LAX-PIT. So somehow they're going to have to have that 767 reposition from PIT-CLT each day, no?
Going back to my first post here, if the aircraft and seating are the same, what about the service? In the Envoy seats, is it typical domestic FC or is it a version of Envoy?
Thanks!

I've taken this flight several times... it's the transatlantic 767 with the Envoy seats. The service is totally domestic: standard wines, standard menu, no duty-free, etc. I've always had the full international IFE, but some FTers haven't -- either the tapes weren't on board or they had trouble getting the system turned on.
The A321 actually has more F seats than the 767, but I usually opt for the 767 because I like the legroom and the cushiness of the seats.

I've taken the 767 CLT-LAX flight and it is THE way to get to LAX if you are in First.
As mentioned, the service is no different than the narrow-body transcons but the seats and legroom are far superior.
However, watch the schedule - the PHL-SNN and PHL-DUB flights start mid-May and will use 767's so that LAX flight using a 767 might get pulled.

It has been about 6 months since a 767 was last used to LAX. Does anyone know if the 767 will be returning to this route? Or has the affiliation with UA killed motivation to use this plane to LAX?

Selling nonstop UA codeshare flights from places like BOS on the US website sure can't do much to fill a U 767.

It is highly doubtful that the 767 will return to LAX. They have better use going to the Caribbean where cargo plays a very important role. My father saw one today at CUN operating the flightback to PHL. LAX is down to 1 Boeing 757 flight a day: #45 in from PIt & BWI at night and #44 out to PIT & BOS at 7:45am. Who knows when that be airbused. The rest of our service is on the Airbus.

Not to mention the expansion in European flying that is slated to use 767 equipment.

Boston is a huge departure point for transatlantic travel. I could see US perhaps adding some transatlantic routes before they added BOS-LAX routes. However, strategically, it may make more sense to add BOS-LAX routes to fill in the gaps where UA cut service when the economy picks up. This would minimize UA's risk, and at the same time enable UA to sell tickets on the US flights. The combo platter of US and UA flights to BOS would give customers more non-stop scheduling options than what AA offers on its own.

Huh? Despite BOS being a pretty big transatlantic gateway, US will not start international service from BOS for at least 2 or 3 years when they get more 330's. Even at that time BOS might not see international service. BOS-California is a market that i can see US potentially serving.
Anyone know what happened to the BOS-LAS service? If it does start it should deffinitely be daily.

Why would US want to initiate non-stop BOS-LAX service? HP's new service is keeping fares capped at a maximum of $299 o/w.
