Forgive me for my newbie questions - I'm typically a CO/NW flyer who's found himself booked on US metal for an upcoming business trip :-) I'm not familiar at ALL with the way US and UA process upgrades, and the rules for non-elites.
I'm flying BOS-DEN on what I believe is a UA ticket but all US metal. I have about 16K orphan UA miles in my account there, as well as another 30K of Amex MR points. I'm curious if there's a way for me to upgrade using a combination of these, or a combo with cash, or can upgrade certs be purchased? Are there any possibilities here?
