For the last three years we've stayed in the Hotel Oceana in SB but unfortunatley this year it's showing it's full
Does anyone have any suggestions on other hotels in the area-mid price range and preferably sea-front
Jack
What do you consider mid price range? That's subjective, and can vary by area. Best to give a dollar range. We loved the Santa Barbara Inn, but I'm guessing that'd be too pricey. You also don't give criteria, such as location, amenities, etc. Considered Hotwire or Priceline? Looked at reviews on Tripadvisor.com?

Sorry for being a bit vague. Around $200 per night and we'd really like to be on the sea front, but not too far from State Street either. A pool is a must and some features such as a nice gym, lounge areas etc would also be preferable

Hyatt Mar Monte, FP Doubletree
If Santa Barbara is not a requirement, then Embassy Suites Oxnard is more isolated and less touristy about 30 miles south.

We really like the Doubletree but I doubt if you can get it for $200/night. If you can, I highly recommend it.

Price will depend on when you are planning your visit, but I live in Santa Barbara and I have three favorites-- Canary Hotel (down town with great pool on the roof, less than a mile to the beach and 1-block off State Street), Inn of the Spanish Garden (no pool and 3-blocks from State but an amazing property) and Harbor View Inn, which is right off the water with a pool. Good luck-- it's a great town, I know how lucky I am to live here!
