I noticed that my recent, upgraded V/Q flights showed up as 'P' on the BP--does anyone know the 'description' of this class?
US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - How does 'P' class fit in?View Full Version : How does 'P' class fit in? hilton-gold Dec 3, 03, 4:23 pm I noticed that my recent, upgraded V/Q flights showed up as 'P' on the BP--does anyone know the 'description' of this class? jetsetter Dec 3, 03, 6:42 pm I believe P is used for upgrades from Y and U fares, and E is used for upgrades from other discounted fares classes auch as H/V/L, etc. The G booking code was used in the past to upgrade discounted fares but it seems to be E now. If you check availability on a flight you will see F class which is for purchassed first class, P for full fare upgrades, and E for discount upgrades. Often there will be less E seats than P seats. That being said, an agent may have just put you in P class even though you were booked in V. Reservations on the phone generally always books in the correct class, but the airport has more discretion and they may have just put you in P. No difference however in miles earned, etc. |
