Yesterday, Monday the 28th, the state kicked off a massive statewide distracted driving enforcement campaign. It is being driven in part because some numbers are showing that more accidents are now being caused by distracted drivers (cell phones and texting) than drunk drivers.
At least according to some reports.
It is being paid with federal funds under a pilot program, and will continue till Friday, April 1.
