US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Anyone been on the the reconfig'd 757's yet?

Hi...

IIRC the first of the reconfigured 757's was supposed to have been completed by now and I was wondering if anyone has been on it yet and can report on the new configuration???

From everything I heard, they delayed the reconfiguration until a TBD date. They are selling some of the flights as only 8 FC seats, which makes upgrades the day of easier.

A US FA said the reconfig had been postponed to "mid 2004".

I will really miss the big seat section.

Are they still selling the 757s for trips early in 2004 as F8 or with the delay have they opened it up again?

Dunno about 2004, but 12/2003 they were selling F8, and then expanding that once coach got oversold and/or someone came to their senses. This appeared to be on a flight by flight basis.

I had flight I was somewhat interested in that were clearly being sold as F8 one day (F was zeroed out, but a look at the seatmaps showed only 8 assigned seats) and would pop up to F24 the next day (or 22, whichever).

Maybe once the next schedule is loaded they'll dispense with this madness.
