The holland America Osterdam was docked in San Diego on Sat. night and appeared to be lifeless. Typically ship leave here around 5pm. It was still there at sunset.

The next morning, it was gone and had been replaced with another HAL ship. The Veendam, I believe. where and when did the osterdam go? and with no passengers??

HAL runs quite differeing itins out of san diego.

Thank you.

Was she heading into dry dock or waiting for a charter group? I think she is leaving the Mexican Riviera route and maybe substituting a Hawaii run due to all the drug violence in Mexico closing down too many ports. So sad for Mazatlan as that was our favorite stop on this run.

We left SD on the Statendam a few months ago and engine trouble kept us in port until 10pm when we were supposed to leave by 5pm. Made up the time later and the rest was smooth sailing through Panama and on to Florida.
