Any thoughts on which seats in Envoy class are best on the 767? Also, in what order does US typically take meal requests (front to back, FEBO, etc.)?

It doesn't look like any seat is prefered over others. I does say to avoid the first row.

I just flew a RT on US in Envoy from PHL to FRA. Equipment was an Airbus so I had the opportunity to get Row 1 with the old first class seats. Great Flight! During my flights they started taking the meal orders in the front on both the flight to Europe and back. I do not know if this is common on US for Europe flights or if they normally do the odd/even thing they do in FC within the US.

I had row 1 on the way to LGW last year. It didn't suck, but it didn't rock either. I think there was slightly less leg room. Overall, I was thrilled to be sitting where I was. I was even more thrilled when the return flight was a 330 though. I'd say regardless of your seat, you'll have roughly the same experience in the 767.

hi,

does anyone knows if? and when the 767 are going to be refitted with new seats? That would be especially nice for envoy!

The 767s will be retired when the 10 A330-200s arrive, starting in 2007. Until then, I doubt they'll spend any money on the 767s.

Maybe. Maybe not. A little birdie who should know told me that the 767s are probably going to be around longer than that and that they're actively looking at refit options. Including flat seats. The mixed messages these guys send are really quite amazing at times...

On the 767, the FA who takes meal orders should start on the left aisle on eastbound and right aisle on westbound flights. But in my experience, it is anybody's guess wether they do it that way on any particular flight. In my opinion, just about any of the seats are fine, I don't really think that any one is better than the other.

Bulkhead on the 767-200 is not as bad as what seatguru might imply - especially if you're relatively short (I'm 5'4") - very comfortable and nice not having someone recline in to you.

Does row 1 have windows aligned with the seats or is it more wall?

Right side bulkhead is quite noisy due to the location of the galley. I would recommend any other seat, my favorites being 1A/B and 2A/B.

My GF and I were in 1A&B (or A&C) PIT-CDG last year. Perfectly nice and I didn't find the bulkhead to restrict room (I'm 5'10" albeit with short legs). I think there's only 1 window so the aisle pax would have to crank his/her head to see out.

BTW, I am one of the minority here that prefers the 767 Envoy seat to the 330 one.

Personally, I like the middle seats that way you can get out and in your seat without bothering anyone and get rested long enough. Now this is wether on the 330 or 760.
And I would take row 2&3. I think those are the best!
