US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - LAX Terminal 1 the day after Thanksgiving

I am taking my daughter to Disneyland during Thanksgiving, and fly back 11/28, the day after Thanksgiving LAX-PHL at 10:45am. How is the security line like on that day in Terminal 1? Lots of people traveling on that day or much less people? I know WN is in the same terminal, that got me worried, and I never traveled during Thanksgiving, and want to decide how early I want to leave hotel. My hotel is 40 minute drive without traffic, plus return the rental to Enterprise, etc, and I am US CP if that makes a difference.

Thanks.

On the day after Turkey Day, I'd be tempted to be at the ticket counter 90 minutes prior, and two hours if you want to check luggage. The lines in Terminal 1 can get insane when LUV has a busy period, and the day after Thanksgiving is one of the more heavily traveled days of the year.

I think it depends more on how early other people get there. There are always people at LAX -- it's not like the flights are half empty on non-holiday weekends.

In the morning, if the proverbial "Ma and Pa Kettle" get there 2-4 hours early for a flight at noon +/- 4 hours, the line will be unnecessarily long.

I would advise joining the crowd and getting there two hours early. Otherwise, you may miss your flight.
