Maybe I'm just crazy. When I look at the US award chart for travel to Hawaii, it lists a premium FC award for 120,000 miles. Now, there are other awards in that category that say "Travel to/from Hawaii Excluded", underneath some of the listed awards. However, the award chart now has a "First class on a two-cabin/business class on a three-cabin" award....standard 60K miles, and premium 120K miles. The CP desk tells me such an award is not available. But, when I look at the award chart, it would lead me to believe that it is.

So...if you go to the DM section of the web site, and click on AWARD CHARTS, tell me if you see the same thing I do. Granted...there are "no Hawaii" restrictions for some of the lesser awards ABOVE the one of which I write...but it looks to me as though, according to their chart, I should be able to book a premium FC ticket for 120,000 miles.

So....am I crazy...or does anyone else see this? Kind statements as to my mental state are greatly appreciated.

When you look at the disclosures above the award chart, it says:

Standard awards are valid for travel on flights operated by US Airways, United or a combination of US Airways and United

Premium awards are valid for travel on flights operated by US Airways only

Since US doesn't fly to Hawaii, that's why they are saying those awards are unavailable.

I guess the disclosures should be the overriding rules, and I hadn't read carefully enough to notice. However, in the chart, two specific awards are noted with "not valid to/from Hawaii", and the 120K Premium award is not.

Thanks for pointing out the disclosures.
