US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Any luck getting US miles for Lufthansa flights?

Has anyone taken a flight with the Lufthansa code yet and gotten US dividend miles for the flight? If so, how did this work out? I just booked a flight using lufthansa.com and haven't given LH my US airways number yet. If you have, are there restrictions by fare codes, etc that I should know about.? LH didn't seem to know on the phone and were not able to sell the same internet fares anyhow. The ticket has an S code as far as I can tell.

Should I call lufthansa before flight to give them my US # or do it at airport (Boston) ?

Thanks for any help

From what I know with LH their IT is pretty reliable. So just give them your US-number at check-in, and you should be fine.

LH gives miles on almost every fare, so S-class by itself should not be a problem; however I have never heard of a transatlantic-fare that needs to be booked in S-class ex-Europe. Usually offers are booked in "W", consolidators in "V" and lowest APEX-fares in "Q". "S" is usually used for interline-tix within Germany from what I have experienced.

But as I said: As long as you did not book and ID-, Seaman's or otherwise subsidized fare, you should have no reason to worry...

Greetings - Dirk
