Travel Photography - Bali

I'm going to go on a vacation to Bali this summer solely for photography. For those that have been there, can you share your favorite pictures and the location where you take them? Maybe if you have secret spots or places that nobody knows.

the black sand beach is wonderful....but try to find your own hidden secrets :-) much more fun

Look for the terraced rice paddies in the interior. You can get some amazing photos if you find the right spot.

The North side is the least visited; some nice beaches with spectacular settings on the Bukit but often many people.

Spent a month in Bali last november, and my best photos turned out to be of the jungle and closeups of flowers and vegetation. The beaches and panoramas are great but look ordinary; some of the temples have some nice detail which can be used from the right angle. Photo opportunities are everywhere.

unfortunately I don't have the luxury to stay there for a month :p

I'd do that in a heartbeat if I can... that's why I'm trying to get the best of my 7 days stay there...

Apart from beaches, rice paddies and temples give a lot of interesting opportunities. I was told Ulu Watu Temple at sunset is a fantastic subject but on the day I was there it was overcast.

Just don´t do the mistake to book your tours in advance as package, they are cheap yes, but really awful. Just go there take a taxi and then have fun, I did the mistake and I was sitting grumpily in a bus with 80 other tourists....awful.
