Singapore - [Singapore] Recommended travel insurance providers

Anybody has good recommendations for good travel insurance providers in Singapore with whom I dont need to waste my time arguing in case there is a claim? I am looking to purchase insurance for me and my wife for a 1.5 month trip to the US via HKG and Europe.

I have tried the AMEX online site and got a quote of S$303 for the lowest tier of coverage.. ouch!!

Any strategies for getting a lower quote from the established providers? Should I call them up directly?

I'm always getting AXA travel insurance called SmartTraveller, you can choose the destination and the exact length of your trip and it s available online (https://www.smartlink-xr.axa.com.sg/cordys/axa/redirector/start.aspx?productid=str&subpartnerid=0&partnerID=2&entity=sg). I believe their product is better than the one you get with your air ticket
