US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - How good is US inventory-management?

Header says it all...it's slighly more than a week to my US-Air flights (a pure Mileage-run), and when I booked it three weeks ago, I could not get any assigned seat for my flight any more. Until this past weekend the flight had availability down to H class, now it shows this:

First Class always had nearly no availability, and the F-seatmap shows near to no availability. Also, all other flights that day show no or nearly no availability, many not even in First Class:

Should I finally hope for my first bump in three years...;-)? If so, is the 200$ still the standard fare on US (when pleading non-residency)? Also can I be put in the volunteer-list already at my first airport that day (IAD)?
