Hi,
Some rooms in Mandalay Bay have v. good views of the airport.
I would imagine some of the higher floors of the PH Westgate ( South view) could also see the airport

Tropicana is right on the airport. You'll be looking down on the Janet flight terminals.

Luxor and Mandalay Bay.
Also, many rooms at MGM Grand have great views of the runways at the airport.

When I stay at MGM, I usually request a high floor facing the airport. When accommodated, it is a great experience, watching all of the planes land. Lots of helicopters too.

Mandalay Bay faces the airport N-S runways so if you can get a high floor in the east facing wing you should be good to go. These are the runways where the international flights GENERALLY take off and land. They have the shark reef for the kids as well as the beach. In July, the rates should be pretty good also.

Luxor great for plane-spotting, not so great for much else.

Well I've been in a room at the top of Mandalay Bay but I don't remember the floor (it was right under Four Seasons). The views of all runways were amazing! ^

You could stay at Hard Rock Hotel or Hyatt Place and be RIGHT under the flight path of arriving or departing aircraft!!
Also echo MGM rooms on higher floors (SkyLofts have great views), as well as the Four Seasons. The Sunrise Sunset suites are very nice -- the one we were in on the west side of the tower had airport views to the south, the desert to the west and partial strip views to the North. Of course, these suites are quite pricey at about $1500 per night...

Hard Rock... HRH Tower is best for this, ask for a city or mountain view, not the pool view. I suggest a Supreme Corner Deluxe on a high floor. It's like $20 more than the others. The HRH Tower has all suites, the corner ones have floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides, one looking toward the west and The Strip and the other looks south right over the airport. You want a high floor, because the parking garage blocks the view up till like the 7th floor or so... floors 8-15 should be great. I stay here once a month and know the place well.

Vdara and Aria have rooms with good views of 01/19
if you are looking for something off-strip, the Hampton Inn at Eastern and Sunset is just across the street from 07/25
