Argentina - getting MTL *from* downtown BsAs to EZE - where is their terminal?

Tried to search for this, but couldnīt find anything that answers my specific question:

I got a remise straight from the airport to my friendīs place when I arrived at EZE, but am considering the MTL bus back (as itīs cheaper).

However, the MTL website seems useless at being able to explain where and how to get to their terminal... at least, I canīt get a fix on where it is properly with google maps and I dont want to chance it lugging my bag around:

> TERMINAL MADERO (Av. Madero esq. San Martín)

is this Av. Eduardo Madero? ie near the station?
do they offer a connecting service from private residences? Am at Peru & Belgrano FWIW.

MTL has various drop off / pick up points throughout the city.... if you call their service centers they will give you the information. Im not 100% sure, but I think that connecting service to a residence will equal to a private car hire, dont think you can still enjoy a shuttle or bus fare and add a connecting service.

Yes, the exact address is 1299 Av Eduardo Madero. Link to googlemaps here (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=1299+eduardo+madero+buenos+aires&aq=&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=38.775203,107.138672&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Av+Eduardo+Madero+1299,+Zona+Portuaria,+Ciud ad+Aut%C3%B3noma+de+Buenos+Aires,+Argentina&ll=-34.593509,-58.371434&spn=0.009856,0.026157&z=16)

There are plenty of buses that go along Leandro Alem/Paseo Colon which will drop you at the junction with Av Belgrano, 4 blocks from the junction with Peru. I'd only recommend that though if you are travelling very light and have previous experience with the buses in Buenos Aires

A taxi to the terminal shouldn't be too much (it's about 3 km, so around 15 pesos is what I'd expect).

With that said, I used to live quite near where you're staying, and one of the things I liked is that it's a very quick ride to the airport (since you're quite close to the Autopista access). From a timing standpoint, I'd be quite reluctant to go 3 km in the wrong direction to get to a terminal, only to get on a bus and go practically right past where I had started 20-30 minutes later. That's me, though - if the relative savings for you is important, then maybe it's worth it.

Thanks, all - I had one bag to check and 1 carry-on, so didn't feel like doing the bus (my host had taken me on one a couple of times, but I was only visiting for a few days so not exactly 100% comfortable about doing it on my own with near-zero Spanish, etc).

As it was, my host and I went for lunch a little further down Belgrano, plenty of taxis for the short hop to the MTL bus terminal. By that time, funds were a bit low and it was hardly a big inconvenience for half the price.

Schultzois - the taxi was $14.50. Good estimate! ^

$14.50 was just about best case scenario for where you were starting (although if you went from lunch further down Belgrano, maybe you started slightly closer).

3km at one "tick" every 200 m is 15 ticks. Each tick is .58, with 5.80 more for the flag drop... the total would be exactly $14.50 in that case.

Glad to hear it worked out easily, and it's good to know about this alternative since I do often have friends here who may want something more economical than a driver straight to Ezeiza...
